ABOUT

Mouth Congress started as a dare.

Could two gay comedians front a punk rock band in 1984? No, but it happened, and is still happening. Their first album, “Waiting for Henry,” took 30 years to make, while their second “Valley of Song” only took 3. As you can see, they’re getting faster. Their third album will most likely be released posthumously.

A band like no other, Mouth Congress is dedicated to creating music that is challenging, irreverent, and, worst of all, “catchy.”

From their first song, “Cigarette,” about how smoking gives you crepey skin, to their most recent “Musical Cake,” a rap battle between two white men in their 60’s, Mouth Congress channels the same irreverent spirit from Kids in the Hall. They REALLY like the word irreverent.

“Valley of Song,” a double album with 17 original tracks, along with 7 music videos, almost broke these two overachievers. But these plucky peacocks made it through the valley in their caravan of creativity to the peninsula of pain, where they now lay before you their horny harvest of hope.

Please enjoy this feast of fun.
